Technology Minerals said that its partially-owned battery-recycling business has secured an order to produce a lithium-ion battery shredder for an undisclosed sum.
The U.K. battery-metals company said Monday that Recyclus Group Ltd. has been selected by the University of Warwick to produce the industrial-grade battery shredder and train staff to use it.
The company said Recyclus will receive an immediate initial upfront fee and additional fees upon certain milestones.
The equipment is expected to be delivered and commissioned by March 31 next year.
Technology Minerals owns 48.35% of Recyclus Group.
Shares at 1011 GMT were up 0.05 pence, or 3.9%, at 1.35 pence.
