SÃO PAULO–Brazil’s trade surplus widened in October after exports increased more than imports, the Development, Industry, Trade and Services Ministry said Wednesday.
The country recorded a surplus of $9.0 billion in Oct, after a surplus of $8.9 billion in September. Brazilian exports rose to $29.5 billion last month, from $28.4 billion in Sept., while imports increased to $20.5 billion from $19.5 billion.
