Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.64%, while the index climbed 0.82%, and the index gained 1.94%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 8.45% or 18.40 points to trade at 236.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Qiagen NV (ETR:) added 5.31% or 1.77 points to end at 35.12 and BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 4.45% or 1.86 points to 43.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:), which fell 0.86% or 0.72 points to trade at 82.54 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 0.78% or 0.07 points to end at 8.37 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.50% or 0.05 points to 10.36.
The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 5.68% to 58.84, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 5.39% to settle at 81.74 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which gained 4.71% to close at 10.29.
The worst performers were Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:) which was down 3.56% to 52.54 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 2.79% to settle at 20.56 and Stabilus (ETR:) which was down 2.28% to 59.90 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which rose 8.45% to 236.20, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was up 6.02% to settle at 31.87 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which gained 5.39% to close at 81.74.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.60% to 19.65 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 0.86% to settle at 26.46 and Kontron AG (ETR:) which was down 0.37% to 19.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 206 and 33 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.70% to 18.87.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.69% or 13.85 to $1,991.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.42% or 1.17 to hit $81.14 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.42% or 1.23 to trade at $85.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 106.55.
