The combined price gain of the earnings reporter’s stocks ($9.04) was adding about 60 points to the Dow’s price, while the Dow rose 117 points, or 0.4%. Meanwhile, the two Dow members that were slated to report results after the closing bell were mixed, as shares of Microsoft Corp.
