QineTiQ Group said it has been awarded an $84 million contract with the U.S. Army for the delivery of next generation advanced bomb suits.
The London-listed defense-technology company said Tuesday that it will deliver more than 700 NGAB suits, used to protect personnel from explosions, to replace the current 20-year-old bomb suit.
“The new suit will increase soldier survivability and readiness to respond to evolving threats by providing them with 360-degree ballistic protection and significantly increasing situational awareness with built-in technology enhancements,” it said.
The company said the contract was an example of its advanced sensor and data processing capability.
