Shares of Amgen and IBM are trading higher Wednesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Amgen AMGN and IBM IBM have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA was most recently trading 97 points higher (0.3%). Amgen’s shares are up $7.16, or 2.7%, while those of IBM have gained $3.21, or 2.2%, combining for an approximately 68-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth UNH, Travelers TRV, and Verizon VZ. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
