Dow’s nearly 100-point drop led by losses for shares of Amgen, Procter & Gamble

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading down Tuesday morning with shares of Amgen and Procter & Gamble facing the biggest drops for the blue-chip average. Shares of Amgen

have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow

was most recently trading 92 points lower (-0.3%). Amgen’s shares are off $3.53 (1.4%) while those of Procter & Gamble are down $1.70 (1.1%), combining for an approximately 34-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include IBM

and Merck

+0.39%.
A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
