3D Systems says its ongoing partnership with Align Technology wouldn’t be affected by Align’s acquisition of Cubicure.
The Rock Hill, S.C.-based three-dimensional printing company said Thursday it had received “significant shareholder inquiries” about Align’s acquisition of Cubicure.
Align said Wednesday it would acquire the Austrian 3D printing company for 79 million euros to give the company more expertise in 3D printing.
3D Systems said it has had a 25-year partnership with Align, under which it provides the company with hardware and materials.
3D Systems said Cubicure’s research and development on printing of aligners have had no effect on it.
