Axcelis Technologies has named James Coogan as its new executive vice president and finance chief.
Coogan will join the company in October and succeeds Kevin Brewer.
Brewer will assume the title of executive vice president of finance and operations. He will continue to manage the company’s manufacturing operations and will support the transition of the company’s finance function to Coogan.
Brewer plans to retire at the end of the year and will remain as a senior adviser through 2024.
Coogan previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Kaman.
