Australia has ordered a significant quantity of smart sea mines from RWM Italia, a subsidiary of Germany’s Rheinmetall.
The arms manufacturer said Tuesday that the order is worth a figure in the low three-digit million-euro range, with potential growth in coming years.
Delivery of the sea mines, whose types and numbers are classified, is expected to start this year.
