Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.65%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index declined 1.33%, and the index fell 0.62%.

The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 0.81% or 2.00 points to trade at 249.40 at the close. Meanwhile, E.ON SE (ETR:) added 0.49% or 0.06 points to end at 11.19 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was up 0.30% or 0.12 points to 39.57 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.75% or 13.80 points to trade at 354.20 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:) declined 3.68% or 1.01 points to end at 26.46 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was down 2.45% or 0.33 points to 13.12.

The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 1.16% to 34.96, Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was up 0.95% to settle at 44.64 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 0.55% to close at 29.08.

The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 10.98% to 99.52 in late trade, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which lost 3.73% to settle at 28.38 and Vitesco Technologies Group AG (ETR:) which was down 3.55% to 74.80 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 1.81% to 16.30, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 1.16% to settle at 34.96 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which gained 0.96% to close at 7.56.

The worst performers were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 6.34% to 38.55 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.75% to settle at 354.20 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 1.93% to 88.64 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 479 to 176 and 86 ended unchanged.

Shares in Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.93% or 1.74 to 88.64.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.49% to 19.07 a new 1-month high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 3.80 to $1,919.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.27% or 1.02 to hit $81.41 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.76 to trade at $84.88 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 103.22.
