Gartner posted a rise in revenue in the second-quarter, boosted by growth across each business segment and higher contract value.
The Stamford, Conn.-based research and advisory company reported net income of $198 million, or $2.48 a share, compared with $205 million, or $2.53 a share, for the same period a year earlier.
Stripping out one-time items, the company’s earnings per share came in at $2.85. Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast lower adjusted earnings per share of $2.51.
Revenue rose 9.2% to $1.5 billion, beating analysts expectations of $1.48 billion, according to FactSet.
The company’s research business posted revenue of 5.8% to $1.21 billion. The conference business grew revenue by 49% to $168.9 million, with the company’s consulting unit up 4.7% to $126.4 million.
