Safilo said Monday that it has appointed Michele Melotti as its new chief financial officer and that he will take on the role from Aug. 28, once current CFO Gerd Graehsler leaves his post.
Melotti joined Safilo in 2012 and, over a period of 11 years, has held various roles within finance and accounting, the Italian eyewear company said. He currently serves as the company’s business controller, according to his Linkedin profile.
Graehsler became CFO in 2014 and chief information officer in 2019, the company said.
Safilo said last week that Graehsler decided to resign “to undertake a new professional experience,” the company said.
