BEIJING — Asian stock markets were mixed Wednesday after a cooler reading on U.S. inflation fueled hopes the Federal Reserve will postpone a possible interest rate hike.
The Nikkei 225 in Tokyo advanced 0.9%. The Hang Seng HK:HSI in Hong Kong was flat and the Shanghai Composite Index CN:SHCOMP rose 0.1%.
