International stocks trading in New York closed higher Thursday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts ticked up 0.8% to 153.05. The European index edged up 0.9% to 148.64. The Asian index climbed 0.6% to 175.14. The Latin American index rose 0.7% to 201.43, while the emerging-markets index moved up 0.4% to 293.92.
Innate Pharma was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The biopharmaceutical company rose 10% after Sanofi said that the Food and Drug Administration has granted fast track designation for SAR’579/IPH6101 for the treatment of hematological malignancies. SAR’579 is a trifunctional anti-CD123 cell engager from a joint research collaboration between Innate Pharma and Sanofi, now under development by partner Sanofi.
Medigus gained 13% following news earlier in that week that it sold its entire stake in ScoutCam for about $6 million in cash.
