NXP Semiconductors said Wednesday it has tapped Julie Southern as chair of the company effective immeidately, following the retirement of as Peter Bonfield.
Southern has been a non-executive director of the board since 2013 and the chair of the audit committee since September 2018, the designer and manufacturer of semiconductors said.
Bonfield had held the role of chairman since the company’s spin-out from Philips in 2006, NXP Semiconductors said.
