Railroad operator Norfolk Southern and leaders for 12 of its labor unions issued a joint statement regarding partnering to continue improving rail safety at the company.
Union representatives signing the letter included the national presidents of American Train Dispatchers Association and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, among others.
“We want our people to show up to work every day knowing their employer and their union are working diligently to help them do their jobs safely,” said the letter addressed to employees and union members.
