(Source: KB Financial Group\/YouTube)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The gaming firm provided a total of 1 million of its tokens (worth around $1,828,000 at the time of writing) as prize \u201cmoney\u201d for the tour, South Korea\u2019s Golf Digest reported.<\/p>\n<p>The firm also distributed NFTs to golfers who made the cut for the second day of the event, and issued NFT tickets.<\/p>\n<p>The event was held at the Haeundae Beach Golf and Resort, a par 72 course in Busan \u2013 South Korea\u2019s second city.<\/p>\n<p>Lee, aged 20, currently sits 34th in the global golf rankings, compiled by Rolex \u2013 although her ranking may be revised upward following her recent triumph.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_133285\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-133285\" style=\"width: 1503px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><noscript><\/noscript><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-133285\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Rolex Rankings\/Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Golf Stars to Forget Fiat in Favor of Crypto Prizes?<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><br \/>WeMade will likely see the event as another coup as it seeks to gain support for its token.<\/p>\n<p>The coin was dealt a blow late last year when DEXA, the listings committee operated by the nation\u2019s only five fiat-trading crypto exchanges, ordered the immediate delisting of WEMIX.<\/p>\n<p>DEXA said it found irregularities in the issuer\u2019s data about the number of WEMIX coins in circulation.<\/p>\n<p>WeMade has since succeeded in \u201crelisting\u201d its coin, with two DEXA member exchanges this year adding WEMIX to their platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The firm has also secured several overseas listings for its coin, as it seeks to restore its reputation and carve a niche for itself as the nation\u2019s leading gaming-related token.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_133286\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-133286\" style=\"width: 751px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><noscript><\/noscript><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-133286\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lee Ye-won scoops another golf trophy on the KLPGA Tour earlier this year.
