A biopic based on the life of tech billionaire Elon Musk is in development at film studio A24, according to a new report from Variety.<\/p>\n

The screenplay will be based partially on Walter Isaacson\u2019s biography of Musk, which came out in September.<\/p>\n

\n

Isaacson has written several popular books about high-profile historical figures, including Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein. His biography of Apple
\n AAPL,
\n +2.32%<\/bg-quote>
\n founder Steve Jobs was adapted into a 2015 film starring Michael Fassbender.<\/p>\n

Darren Aronofsky, who has directed critically acclaimed movies including \u201cThe Whale,\u201d \u201cRequiem for a Dream,\u201d \u201cBlack Swan\u201d and \u201cMother!\u201d, will reportedly direct the Musk biopic.<\/p>\n

Among the films produced by A24 are \u201cMoonlight,\u201d \u201cThe Witch\u201d and \u201cMidsommar.\u201d<\/p>\n

The movie could feature some of the companies Musk has been involved with, which include Paypal
\n PYPL,
\n +0.90%<\/bg-quote>,<\/span>
\n SpaceX, Neuralink, the Boring Company, X (formerly Twitter) and Tesla
\n TSLA,
\n +2.22%<\/bg-quote>.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n

Musk, 52, is the richest person in the world according to Forbes estimates, with a net worth of $226.8 billion.<\/p>\n

The billionaire addressed the biopic on X, the social-media platform he owns, on Friday, calling Aronofsky \u201cone of the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
