The price was up 3% versus the pre-filing level. ETH\u2019s trading volume has also increased by around 170% over the past day.<\/p>\n<p>BlackRock, the largest asset management firm in the world, submitted a 19b-4 filing for its ETH ETF with Nasdaq, where it seeks to list the application. Earlier on Nov. 9, BlackRock registered the iShares Ethereum Trust in Delaware, hinting the potential ETF filing and already heating up the market.<\/p>\n<p>The document also revealed that once BlackRock\u2019s ETH ETF is approved, Coinbase\u2019s Coinbase Custody Trust Company will be the primary custodian, keeping custody of all the ether.<\/p>\n<h2>Ethereum Price Surge\u2019s Impact<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_129637\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-129637\" style=\"width: 1584px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><noscript><\/noscript><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-129637\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Dune Analytics<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Ethereum\u2019s price increase, ETH\u2019s median gas price also surged and momentarily peaked at 291.2 gwei, according to Dune Analytics.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_129638\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-129638\" style=\"width: 1576px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><noscript><\/noscript><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-129638\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CoinMarketCap<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ethereum\u2019s altcoin has also climbed up to match ETH price\u2019s escalation. Ethereum Classic (ETC) price exceeded the $20 mark and reached $21.16, up about 13% versus 24 hours ago.<\/p>\n<h2>BlackRock\u2019s Bitcoin ETF Plan<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><br \/>Prior to the iShares Ethereum Trust and the ETH ETF filing with Nasdaq, BlackRock made a similar move back in June when it registered iShares Bitcoin Trust and filed for its spot Bitcoin ETF seven days later.
