Around 150<br \/>\n        S&amp;P 500<br \/>\n       companies are scheduled to report.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the week will come on Wednesday, however, when the Federal Open Market Committee concludes a two-day meeting. An interest-rate decision is due at 2 p.m. ET and Fed chairman Jerome Powell holds a press conference half an hour later.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The week\u2019s earnings calendar is loaded, starting with<br \/>\n        McDonald\u2019s<br \/>\n       and<br \/>\n        Simon Property Group<br \/>\n       on Monday.<br \/>\n        Advanced Micro Devices<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Anheuser-Busch InBev<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Caterpillar<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       and<br \/>\n        Pfizer<br \/>\n       report on Tuesday. On Wednesday,<br \/>\n        Airbnb<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        CVS Health<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        DoorDash<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Electronic Arts<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Kraft Heinz<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        PayPal Holdings<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Qualcomm<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       and<br \/>\n        Yum! Brands<br \/>\n       all report.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n        Apple<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Booking Holdings<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        ConocoPhillips<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Eli Lilly<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Moderna<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Novo Nordisk<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       and<br \/>\n        Starbucks<br \/>\n       will publish results on Thursday, then\u00a0<br \/>\n        Cboe Global Markets<br \/>\n       and<br \/>\n        Dominion Energy<br \/>\n       close the week on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Economists and investors will be closely watching this week\u2019s labor-market numbers. On Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey for September. On Friday, the BLS will release the jobs report for October. Economists are\u00a0forecasting no change in the unemployment rate, currently at 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Other economic data out this week will include the Conference Board\u2019s Consumer Confidence Index for October on Tuesday, ISM\u2019s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers\u2019 Index for October on Wednesday, and the October Services<br \/>\n        PMI<br \/>\n       on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday 10\/30<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n        Arch Capital Group<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Arista Networks<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       McDonald\u2019s, ON Semiconductor,<br \/>\n        Pinterest<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Public Storage, Simon Property Group, and<br \/>\n        Welltower<br \/>\n       release quarterly results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday 10\/31<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AMD,<br \/>\n        Amgen<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Anheuser-Busch, BP,<br \/>\n        Caesars Entertainment<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Caterpillar, Eaton,<br \/>\n        Ecolab<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        GE HealthCare Technologies<span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>        Marathon Petroleum<span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       MSCI, Pfizer, and<br \/>\n        Sysco<br \/>\n       announce earnings.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P CoreLogic releases the Case-Shiller National Home Price Index for August. Consensus estimate is for home prices to rise 1.6% year over year, following a 1% gain in July.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference Board releases its Consumer Confidence Index for October. Expectations are for a 100 reading, three points less than in September.<\/p>\n<p>The Institute for Supply Management releases the Chicago Business Barometer for October. Consensus estimate is for the economy to have added 175,00 nonfarm payrolls, after an increase of 336,000 in September. The unemployment rate is expected to remain unchanged at a historically low level of 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>The ISM releases its Services PMI for October.
