The announcement came as a relief for investors in the electric-vehicle company who have worried that Musk has been too busy with, or distracted by, running the social media platform.\u00a0The Wall Street Journal reported that Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal\u2019s head of advertising, was in discussions to become Twitter\u2019s new CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Tesla<br \/>\n       also raised prices again across most of its electric-vehicle portfolio in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Amylyx Pharmaceuticals<br \/>\n       (AMLX) was rising 9.7% in premarket trading after reporting first-quarter earnings of 2 cents a share vs. analysts\u2019 expectations for a loss of 24 cents. <\/p>\n<p>\n        Sanmina<br \/>\n       (SANM), which provides electronics-manufacturing services, reported fiscal second-quarter earnings and revenue that beat Wall Street forecasts. The company also said it expects adjusted third-quarter earnings of $1.50 to $1.60 a share on revenue of $2.2 billion to $2.3 billion. Analysts were calling for profit of $1.51 a share on revenue of $2.23 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Walt Disney<br \/>\n       (DIS) was rising 0.6% in premarket trading. Shares of the media giant slumped 8.7% on Thursday after reporting a surprise decline in Disney+  subscribers during the company\u2019s fiscal second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of<br \/>\n        Amazon.com<br \/>\n       (AMZN) were rising slightly in premarket trading. Shares of the tech and online retailing giant rose 1.8% on Thursday, extending the stock\u2019s winning streak to an eighth trading day. It\u2019s the longest winning streak since July 17, 2018, when it rose for nine consecutive sessions, according to Dow Jones Market Data.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n        Netflix<br \/>\n       (NFLX) also pointed higher in premarket trading, up 0.2%, after closing higher for a seventh straight session on Thursday.
