Property developer<br \/>\n        Country Garden<span>\u2019s<\/span><br \/>\n       (ticker: 2007. Hong Kong) shares surged 17% after it struck a deal with creditors to extend payments for an onshore private bond, according to a Reuters report. There were also strong gains for China\u2019s largest tech names\u2014<br \/>\n        Alibaba<br \/>\n       (9988.Hong Kong) rose 3.3% and<br \/>\n        JD.com<br \/>\n       (9618.Hong Kong) climbed 5%.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n<p>Beijing and Shanghai became the latest Chinese cities to relax mortgage rules, allowing first-home buyers to enjoy preferential loans regardless of their credit records.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pan-European Stoxx 600 Index rose 0.7% in early trading, while Germany\u2019s<br \/>\n        DAX<br \/>\n       climbed 0.6%, France\u2019s<br \/>\n        CAC<span><\/span><br \/>\n       was 0.9% up, and the U.K.\u2019s<br \/>\n        FTSE 100<br \/>\n       rose 0.6%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s incremental initiatives to aid the property sector, and other moves such as the People\u2019s Bank of China\u2019s support for the yuan, suggest more stimulus ahead, Goldman Sachs analyst Hui Shan said in a note Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollectively they send a clear signal that policymakers want to stabilize the property market, boost growth, and lift sentiment,\u201d Shan said. \u201cWe suspect more piecemeal measures will continue to be introduced until policymakers are satisfied with the result,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Among the biggest risers in the FTSE 100 early Monday were companies with exposure to China, including miners<br \/>\n        Glencore<br \/>\n       (GLEN.U.K.),<br \/>\n        Anglo American<br \/>\n       (AAL.U.K.), and<br \/>\n        Rio Tinto<span><\/span><br \/>\n       (RIO.U.K.), as well as luxury fashion house<br \/>\n        Burberry<br \/>\n       (BRBY)\u2014all were up between 1.5% and 2%.<\/p>\n<p>Write to Callum Keown at callum.keown@barrons.com<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Read the full article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/articles\/stock-market-today-china-stimulus-f1a2e93a?mod=markets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global stocks climbed Monday, driven by a Chinese rebound as authorities eased mortgage rules to boost the country\u2019s ailing property sector.
