Unable to get concert tickets to Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cEras Tour,\u201d or perhaps put off by ticket packages running up to $900, before fees? Well, you\u2019re in luck, because it\u2019s coming to theaters soon \u2014 and these seats are under $20 apiece.<\/p>\n

\n Regal and Cinemark movie theaters in North America beginning Friday, Oct. 13. The film, \u201cTaylor Swift: The Eras Tour,\u201d will play at least four times a day from Thursday to Sunday at all U.S. AMC locations, as well as some other locations in Canada and Mexico, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Tickets went on sale on Thursday morning at those movie theaters\u2019 websites, as well as on Fandango.com, for a symbolic $19.89 for adults, and $13.13 for children and seniors, on standard screens. IMAX and Dolby Cinema showings will add up-charges, as usual. The $19.89 ticket price honors Swift\u2019s upcoming album, \u201c1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version),\u201d which also comes out in October. The $13.13 price appears to nod toward the movie coming out on Friday the 13th.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But AMC Stubs users should note that they will not<\/em> be able to use their memberships to buy tickets to see Swift\u2019s film.<\/p>\n

AMC said that tickets to the movie running 2 hours and 45 minutes will come with a free miniature poster, available on Oct. 13. And theater concessions stands will be selling special Swift-branded popcorn and collectible fountain-drink cups for $14.99 and $11.99, respectively, while supplies last during the film\u2019s run.<\/p>\n

AMC\u2019s website had a waiting list to access the \u201cEras Tour\u201d ticket page on Thursday, along with a message alerting ticket buyers that it was experiencing \u201chigh traffic volume.\u201d AMC said that it had upgraded its website and ticketing engines prior to the \u201cEras Tour\u201d movie announcement, bracing itself to handle more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the company has ever experienced before. \u201cBut AMC is also aware that no ticketing system in history seems to have been able to accommodate the soaring demand from Taylor Swift fans when tickets are first placed on sale,\u201d the company said in a press release.<\/p>\n

Swift also took to on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, to share the news. \u201cThe Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I\u2019m overjoyed to tell you that it\u2019ll be coming to the big screen soon,\u201d Swift posted, along with a trailer for her concert movie.<\/p>\n

The movie will help meet the oversized demand to see Swift perform. Concert tickets to Swift\u2019s \u201cEras Tour\u201d have been extremely hard to get, with tour dates selling out almost immediately before going for much higher prices on reseller markets. And on the first date that tickets for the \u201cEras Tour\u201d went on sale last fall, Ticketmaster\u2019s site infamously broke.<\/p>\n

Plus, the $19.89 price tag to \u201csee\u201d Swift on stage on the big screen is likely a welcome sight for Swifties who couldn\u2019t afford to see her in person. The cheapest prices for resale tickets for the next leg of Swift\u2019s tour, beginning in 2024, are going for $770 to $1,126 before fees, for example, depending on the location, according to SeatGeek data.<\/p>\n

The \u201cEras Tour\u201d has sold out shows across the U.S. and in some other countries, too \u2014- and the tour is expected to earn over $1 billion, putting Swift well on her way to becoming a billionaire. Swift has a net worth of $740 million, according to Forbes estimates, and is the 34th richest self-made woman in the world. <\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s \u201cEras Tour\u201d \u2014 the live, stage version, that is \u2014 will include more than 100 shows once it\u2019s wrapped up, and more concerts were just added <\/a>this month in cities including Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis. The singer is also touring in Europe, Mexico and Australia.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
