Investing.com \u2013 U.S. stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.<\/p>\n

At the close in NYSE, the added 0.07%, while the index lost 0.01%, and the index lost 0.20%.<\/p>\n

The best performers of the session on the were Walmart Inc (NYSE:), which rose 1.46% or 2.28 points to trade at 157.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Boeing Co <\/span><\/span> (NYSE:) added 0.99% or 2.22 points to end at 226.76 and UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:) was up 0.91% or 4.51 points to 498.47 in late trade.<\/p>\n

The worst performers of the session were Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:), which fell 0.84% or 1.46 points to trade at 172.55 at the close. Amgen Inc <\/span><\/span> (NASDAQ:) declined 0.77% or 2.03 points to end at 261.82 and Goldman Sachs Group <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) was down 0.75% or 2.47 points to 325.05.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Ross Stores Inc <\/span><\/span> (NASDAQ:) which rose 5.01% to 118.72, Applied Materials Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 3.68% to settle at 142.66 and Generac Holdings <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) which gained 2.62% to close at 113.36.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were Keysight Technologies <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) which was down 13.77% to 129.39 in late trade, Deere & Company (NYSE:) which lost 5.34% to settle at 396.78 and Moderna <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 4.35% to 101.62 at the close.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Neptune Wellness Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 75.56% to 0.24, JetAI Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 64.25% to settle at 6.57 and EzFill Holdings <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 44.38% to close at 4.62.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were Evelo Biosciences <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 43.86% to 6.99 in late trade, Selina Hospitality (NASDAQ:) which lost 41.23% to settle at 0.43 and Impel Neuropharma <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 39.73% to 0.38 at the close.<\/p>\n

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1694 to 1200 and 92 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1823 rose and 1658 declined, while 113 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n

Shares in Keysight Technologies Inc (NYSE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 13.77% or 20.66 to 129.39. Shares in Selina Hospitality (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; falling 41.23% or 0.30 to 0.43. Shares in Impel Neuropharma Inc (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; falling 39.73% or 0.25 to 0.38. <\/p>\n

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was down 3.30% to 17.30.<\/p>\n

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 2.90 to $1,918.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.14% or 0.92 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.65 to trade at $84.77 a barrel.<\/p>\n

EUR\/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.09, while USD\/JPY fell 0.35% to 145.32.<\/p>\n

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.34.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
