Investing.com \u2013 India stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.<\/p>\n

At the close in NSE, the fell 0.51% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index fell 0.59%.<\/p>\n

The best performers of the session on the were Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (NS:), which rose 4.32% or 33.55 points to trade at 809.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Titan Company Ltd (NS:) added 2.01% or 60.65 points to end at 3,071.75 and Adani Enterprises <\/span><\/span> Ltd (NS:) was up 1.42% or 34.60 points to 2,479.70 in late trade.<\/p>\n

The worst performers of the session were ITC <\/span><\/span> Ltd (NS:), which fell 2.05% or 9.25 points to trade at 441.00 at the close. LTIMindtree Ltd (NS:) declined 1.93% or 100.35 points to end at 5,097.55 and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (NS:) was down 1.75% or 4.35 points to 243.70.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Titan Company Ltd (BO:) which rose 2.10% to 3,072.40, State Bank Of India (BO:) which was up 1.19% to settle at 572.10 and Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BO:) which gained 0.53% to close at 1,477.15.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were ITC Ltd (BO:) which was down 2.04% to 440.85 in late trade, LTIMindtree Ltd (BO:) which lost 1.99% to settle at 5,092.65 and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.67% to 243.65 at the close.<\/p>\n

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 999 to 997 and 53 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1786 rose and 1671 declined, while 160 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was up 0.95% to 12.24 a new 1-month high.<\/p>\n

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.50 to $1,927.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.82% or 0.65 to hit $80.03 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.83% or 0.69 to trade at $84.14 a barrel.<\/p>\n

USD\/INR was down 0.23% to 83.07, while EUR\/INR fell 0.16% to 90.43.<\/p>\n

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 103.21.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
