Zynga<\/strong>, the creator of the popular FarmVille<\/strong> game, has revealed that Sugartown, its first Ethereum-based non-fungible token (NFT) game, is “coming soon”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Never forget your roots. Sugartown is building a future inspired by the past and present,” the team behind the game said<\/a> in a tweet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The famous mobile game publisher is yet to announce specific details, but more information is expected to be revealed during a live chat in Spaces<\/a> later today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the team has published another teaser for the upcoming game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video shows a workspace of some sort, featuring a ‘Degen Cookbook’ on the desk, with a flashing red warning displaying what seems to be a wormhole.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The incident intensifies, electricity flashes, a hole opens in the sky, the space-time tunnel widens, a whirlwind of smoke rises, and many creatures start exiting the wormhole – spelling trouble for an unsuspecting badger, sitting in his chair and reading.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Per a Decrypt report, the game features three farm animals – a rooster, a bull, and a pig – who have opened a portal to a different dimension.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, creatures called Oras used the chance to cross into Sugartown. And there begins the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The exact release date is currently unknown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

10,000 Ora NFTs will be released later this year. Players will need these to join the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Holders of the NFTs will also be able to lock up or stake them to gather Sugar, which will be the in-game, non-crypto currency.<\/p>\n

Finally, Ora NFTs will enable players to join free-to-play minigames within Sugartown.<\/p>\n

“So excited to share this with the Web3 world. More soon,” said<\/a> Zynga Vice President of Web3 Gaming Matt Wolf.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cryptonews.com<\/i> reached out to Zynga for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the privacy policy on the Sugartown website stated that the services are not intended for children under the age of 18.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Players accessing the services from a country outside the US also acknowledge that their personal information will be transferred and stored in the US, it added.<\/p>\n

Revealed in January this year, the game promises a world full of events, supernatural phenomena, and NFT art.<\/p>\n
