\n Chief Executive Elon Musk said that his new venture, a startup focusing on artificial intelligence, will not compete with the EV maker but instead may even \u201cenhance the value of Tesla.\u201d Speaking at Tesla\u2019s conference call after quarterly results late Wednesday, Musk said that xAI, whose launch he announced on Twitter last week, was a way to retain \u201csome of the world\u2019s best AI engineers and scientists\u201d who were not interested in joining Tesla but were open to coming to a startup, Musk said. The AI startup initially will focus on artificial general intelligence, Musk said. AGI is a type of AI generally understood to come to closest to human cognition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
