{"id":32058,"date":"2023-07-06T05:40:48","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T09:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifintechworld.com\/markets\/forex\/dollar-retreats-after-strong-fed-inspired-gains\/"},"modified":"2023-07-06T05:40:49","modified_gmt":"2023-07-06T09:40:49","slug":"dollar-retreats-after-strong-fed-inspired-gains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ifintechworld.com\/?p=32058","title":{"rendered":"Dollar retreats after strong Fed-inspired gains"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Investing.com &#8211; The U.S. dollar edged lower in early European hours Thursday, handing back some of its overnight gains after the minutes from the Federal Reserve&#8217;s last meeting pointed to another rate hike later this month.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At 02:55 ET (06:55 GMT), the , which tracks the greenback against a basket of six other currencies, traded 0.1% lower to 102.945, after rising 0.5% overnight.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Fed minutes firm rate hike expectations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Fed , released on Wednesday, showed that almost all members of the central bank supported more  in the coming months, citing stubborn  and an overheated labor market.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This has raised expectations for an increase at the Fed\u2019s next meeting later this month, boosting the dollar.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We see room for a dollar rebound in the near term.
