Verisign maintains the obligation to collect a 75-cent fee on ICANN&#8217;s behalf for each .net domain name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n<p>In 2020, Verisign and ICANN reached an extension for .com domains in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The company said June 8 that the first quarter closed with 354 million domain name registrations across all top-level domains, up 1% from the fourth quarter.
