Investing.com \u2013 U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.<\/p>\n

At the close in NYSE, the added 0.80% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 0.83%, and the index gained 0.69%.<\/p>\n

The best performers of the session on the were Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:), which rose 4.02% or 1.20 points to trade at 31.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Walt Disney <\/span><\/span> Company (NYSE:) added 2.57% or 2.57 points to end at 102.50 and Home Depot <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) was up 2.25% or 6.61 points to 300.54 in late trade.<\/p>\n

The worst performers of the session were International Business Machines (NYSE:), which fell 0.44% or 0.56 points to trade at 126.41 at the close. Walmart Inc (NYSE:) declined 0.27% or 0.41 points to end at 150.97 and Amgen Inc <\/span><\/span> (NASDAQ:) was down 0.25% or 0.60 points to 239.74.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Charter Communications <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 7.57% to 368.70, Mohawk Industries <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) which was up 7.20% to settle at 105.89 and Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE:) which gained 7.24% to close at 2.37.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were First Republic Bank <\/span><\/span> (NYSE:) which was down 43.30% to 3.51 in late trade, Signature Bank <\/span><\/span> (OTC:) which lost 24.30% to settle at 0.10 and SVB Financial Group (OTC:) which was down 13.10% to 0.49 at the close.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were TOP Financial Group Ltd (NASDAQ:) which rose 441.05% to 108.21, Huadi International Group <\/span><\/span> Co Ltd (NASDAQ:) which was up 382.78% to settle at 13.18 and Magic Empire Global <\/span><\/span> Ltd (NASDAQ:) which gained 331.03% to close at 4.00.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were Hillstream Biopharma <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 59.49% to 0.44 in late trade, Centogene B V <\/span><\/span> (NASDAQ:) which lost 33.06% to settle at 0.81 and Addus HomeCare <\/span><\/span> Corporation (NASDAQ:) which was down 28.31% to 81.74 at the close.<\/p>\n

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 2161 to 809 and 88 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2250 rose and 1337 declined, while 133 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n

Shares in First Republic Bank (NYSE:) fell to all time lows; losing 43.30% or 2.68 to 3.51. Shares in Signature Bank (OTC:) fell to all time lows; down 24.30% or 0.03 to 0.10. Shares in TOP Financial Group Ltd (NASDAQ:) rose to all time highs; gaining 441.05% or 88.21 to 108.21. <\/p>\n

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was down 7.34% to 15.78 a new 52-week low.<\/p>\n

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.06% or 1.20 to $1,997.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.70% or 2.02 to hit $76.78 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.74% or 2.14 to trade at $80.36 a barrel.<\/p>\n

EUR\/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.10, while USD\/JPY rose 1.74% to 136.27.<\/p>\n

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 101.41.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
