Several types of frozen fruit sold at Walmart

\n Whole Foods and Trader Joe\u2019s are being recalled over a possible bacterial contamination, the Food and Drug Administration announced this week.<\/p>\n

The FDA warned that the food products could contain Listeria monocytogenes<\/em>, <\/em>a bacterium that can cause \u201cserious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the notice also added that, \u201cHealthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The voluntary recall is linked to pineapples provided by a third-party seller that were included in frozen-fruit bags sold by SunOpta Inc.\u2019s subsidiary, Sunrise Growers Inc. The specific bags impacted in the recall, and where they were sold, can be found below:<\/p>\n
