Most advertisers have resolved their concerns about Twitter and have returned to the social-media platform, which is a \u201cvery good deal\u201d for the company, owner Elon Musk said Tuesday. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are hopefully on the comeback arc,\u201d Musk said of the company he bought for $44 billion in October. When asked directly if he regretted his decision to buy it, he would say only, \u201call\u2019s well that ends well.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n

Advertising reportedly has dwindled on Twitter over concerns about the spread of hate speech and other issues after Musk took over.<\/p>\n

Musk spoke at The Wall Street Journal\u2019s CEO Council Summit in London. The conversation meandered through population challenges, AI, life on Mars and other far-ranging topics. <\/p>\n

Earlier in the interview, Musk said that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will have \u201cquite an announcement\u201d to make on Twitter on Wednesday, adding the event will not be scripted. <\/p>\n

Musk also leads Tesla Inc.
\n TSLA,
\n -1.64%<\/bg-quote>
\n and privately held Space X, among other companies, and recently announced that ad executive Linda Yaccarino will become the CEO of Twitter in the coming months. <\/p>\n

Musk added that he isn\u2019t planning to endorse any particular U.S. presidential candidates, but, like most Americans, wants \u201csomeone fairly normal\u201d to become the next U.S. president. <\/p>\n

Musk said it\u2019s important for Twitter to be \u201ca level playing field, and a place where all voices are heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before his acquisition, Twitter had many employees who didn\u2019t seem \u201cto add a lot of value,\u201d Musk said. Likewise, many Silicon Valley companies could go through \u201csignificant cuts\u201d without affecting productivity, and \u201cin fact increasing productivity,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
