Investing.com \u2013 U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.<\/p>\n

At the close in NYSE, the lost 0.33%, while the index declined 0.14%, and the index declined 0.24%.<\/p>\n

The best performers of the session on the were Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose 1.93% or 0.93 points to trade at 49.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck & Company Inc (NYSE:) added 1.30% or 1.48 points to end at 115.48 and International Business Machines (NYSE:) was up 0.88% or 1.12 points to 127.27 in late trade.<\/p>\n

The worst performers of the session were Nike <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:), which fell 3.50% or 4.16 points to trade at 114.71 at the close. Walt Disney <\/span><\/span> Company (NYSE:) declined 2.56% or 2.40 points to end at 91.36 and Home Depot <\/span><\/span> Inc (NYSE:) was down 1.44% or 4.25 points to 290.91.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Catalent Inc <\/span><\/span> (NYSE:) which rose 15.59% to 37.15, EPAM Systems Inc (NYSE:) which was up 4.07% to settle at 247.81 and Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:) which gained 3.00% to close at 371.25.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were VF Corporation (NYSE:) which was down 8.16% to 19.07 in late trade, Signature Bank <\/span><\/span> (OTC:) which lost 7.53% to settle at 0.14 and Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE:) which was down 6.37% to 2.35 at the close.<\/p>\n

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Wisekey International Holding AG (NASDAQ:) which rose 50.00% to 3.45, Neximmune <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 46.64% to settle at 0.44 and Tempo Automation Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 37.20% to close at 0.34.<\/p>\n

The worst performers were CaliberCos <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 31.82% to 5.25 in late trade, Adamis Pharma <\/span><\/span> (NASDAQ:) which lost 26.47% to settle at 0.05 and Elevation Oncology <\/span><\/span> Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 24.70% to 3.81 at the close.<\/p>\n

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1761 to 1184 and 90 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1852 fell and 1672 advanced, while 151 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n

Shares in VF Corporation (NYSE:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 8.16% or 1.70 to 19.07. Shares in Wisekey International Holding AG (NASDAQ:) rose to 52-week highs; up 50.00% or 1.15 to 3.45. Shares in CaliberCos Inc (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; losing 31.82% or 2.45 to 5.25. Shares in Adamis Pharma (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; falling 26.47% or 0.02 to 0.05. <\/p>\n

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was up 4.74% to 16.81.<\/p>\n

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.99% or 19.45 to $1,979.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $71.73 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.07 to trade at $75.79 a barrel.<\/p>\n

EUR\/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.08, while USD\/JPY fell 0.56% to 137.92.<\/p>\n

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.06.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
