The Wall Street Journal said Google, Microsoft and Samsung declined to comment. <em>Barron\u2019s <\/em>also approached the three companies for comment. Samsung declined to comment. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, shares of iPhone maker<br \/>\n        Apple<br \/>\n       (AAPL) and Alphabet hit their highest closing level in more than 12 months, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
